The Westin O'Hare. As part of Starwood’s upgrade to its Westin brand, the hotel’s logo was refined to give it an updated yet simpler look. We worked with The Westin O’Hare to completely overhaul its existing signage to comply with the new Westin brand. The project included fabrication and installation of one set of 8’ tall channel letters and another set of 6’ tall channel letters that were installed on top of the 13 story hotel. Because of the building’s light color, the letters were fabricated using a black perforated 3M vinyl that appears black during the day but illuminates white at night. The letters were installed from swinging stages after removal of the old Westin signage and power-washing of the walls to remove any shadowing. The project also included a new monument sign, one set of reverse channel halo lit letters, multiple stainless steel plaques, new modern lighting for the hotel’s porte cochere and a massive 25’pylon sign with a flexible face and mercury vapor lamps. As if that wasn’t enough, we also provided the hotel with both interior and exterior wayfinding and regulatory signage.
