American Sign Factory Welcomes Tom Campana

We are excited to announce that Tom Campana has joined our management team as VP of Sales.  Tom has been involved in the sign industry for over 18 years, as a manager, sales executive and as an owner.  Tom brings a professional approach to his sales activities and will be coordinating all sales activities here at American Sign as we pursue the long term sustainable growth that will continue to solidify our position as a premier sign company in the Midwest and around the country.

Tom got involved in the Graphics Community while attending Illinois State University, where he studied Industrial Technology with an emphasis in Graphic Communications and Marketing.  This background led to a working relationship with structural and graphic principles that later would provide the foundation for a successful career in the sign industry.  After completing his education Tom worked for Office Max during their entry into the Chicago Market before taking a graphic designer position at a national sign company, where a manager recognized his sales abilities and gave him a shot at what would become his life’s passion.

After spending several years in central Illinois as the sales manager for an up and coming sign company specializing in promotional graphics, Tom worked his way into the electrical sign industry when his company was acquired by Prairie Signs.  He and his wife then moved back to Chicago where he was recruited by a large regional sign company.  Tom worked for Olympic Signs for 3 years as a sales executive before striking out on his own when he founded Sign Solutions Group.

“Most of my adult career has been spent in this creative field we call “Signs”.  I enjoy selling and believe in building relationships with our clients.  Nothing is better than becoming a trusted advisor and re-source to your customers.    When you provide a quality product and top-notch customer-service you will earn a customer for life…” – Tom Campana.

Tom has a passion for running and competed for Illinois State University in both cross-country and in track, and is currently training for both a marathon and triathalon.  He is involved with a non-for-profit organization and race called “Susan Run” as a memorial for a friend that passed away this last year.  He has three young children (two girls, 7 and 5, and a boy who is 4) and was recently remarried this past March to a wonderful woman who is a social worker and has three young boys of her own (thing – Brady Bunch!).  Tom and his family now reside in Wheaton, IL.
